Welcome to our school! Paris Gibson Education Center is a school for students who have a need or desire to reach their educational goals somewhere other than their traditional high school. Paris is a school of choice and students must have the maturity level to work and plan independently, as well as have a strong motivation to graduate. We expect our students to be here all day every day and to graduate. We do have the flexibility to develop individual schedules based on need due to external factors that the student does not have control over.
Students receive a high quality education at Paris and they will be prepared for their next step, if they put the work in. No student will graduate from Paris unless we feel, as a staff, that he/she is adequately prepared. Many of our students go on to college, some to the military and others will enter the work force. Students, if extremely motivated, can finish a semester early, or
some take up to an extra year in order to meet the requirements to graduate. Upon entering Paris students will meet with their teacher advisor and develop a Graduation and Beyond Plan (GAB). That plan will detail what they will need to do in order to graduate from Paris and what their plan is for the first year beyond high school.
We are proud of our students and staff at Paris Gibson Education Center. We
work hard to develop relationships with every student and to make school
meaningful and relevant while understanding that students have barriers to their education. We work hard to remove those barriers together in order to have the student ready for "his/her next step in life."

Please invite your family to view this ceremony with you as it is historically a family event.
We want to extend a big thank you to those who helped set up and prepare for this ceremony and to Dugan Coburn for conducting this ceremony under these unusual circumstances.
It is important that all students receiving an eagle feather watch this video before they get their eagle feather. Academic Achievement Facilitators and Youth Development Specialists will be contacting each student.
Early out for students 1:55 p.m. every Wednesday.
Students may drop work off at PGEC in the bins inside the main front door Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If arrangements have been made for students to pick work up, the work will be in a bin in the same location as the student work drop off point.
