Welcome to math at Paris! I'm Mr. Brubaker, and I teach Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and Geometry. Our Algebra classes are successfully accomplished by the vast majority of our students here at Paris in a seminar format that meets twice per week for two hours each time. Students who need extra help outside of these times receive one-on-one tutoring from either me or our math aide, Ms. Lambert. The intensity and length of the guided practice sessions allow us to finish our algebra classes and earn credit faster than at the traditional high schools, but you'll still have to learn just as much! Geometry meets every day for an hour right before lunch, and these students will learn much of the math that they will need to perform well on college entrance exams. Of course, if you prefer a more traditional high school approach, you can talk with us about the pros and cons of taking these classes on the computer program Gradpoint.
